Celebrating Culture, Team Spirit & Local Pride

Every July in Bora Bora, the island comes alive with the vibrant energy of the Heiva – a time to honor Polynesian culture through dance, music, sports, and tradition. This year, Moana Adventure Tours proudly joined the festivities by participating in the Intercompany Va’a Race πŸ›Ά – and through the incredible cultural talents of two of our amazing guides.

United on the Lagoon πŸ’ͺ🌊

Our team paddled with strength and determination in the intercompany va’a race, a thrilling event where businesses across the island come together to race in the spirit of unity and friendly competition. It was a beautiful moment of connection, teamwork, and local pride.

Ruma & Manax: Cultural Ambassadors of Moana πŸŒŸπŸŽ€πŸ’ƒ

Heiva is not just about sports – it’s a celebration of identity and heritage. And this year, we were deeply honored to see two of our very own shine on stage:

  • Ruma, gifted with a powerful and soulful voice, proudly represented the district of Nunue in the traditional singing competitions.

  • Her performance was heartfelt and deeply moving, echoing the spirit of our ancestors.a man and a woman standing in front of a microphone

  • Manax set the stage on fire with his traditional dance, representing the district of Faanui.

  • His energy, precision, and passion embodied the beating heart of Polynesian culture. The drums, the movement, the mana – unforgettable!

More Than Just a Tour Company πŸ’™

At Moana Adventure Tours, we believe in living and sharing our culture – not just through the tours we offer, but by actively participating in community life.

Taking part in the Heiva is our way of honoring our roots, celebrating our people, and keeping our culture alive for future generations – and for all those who visit our beautiful island.

Mauruuru roa to everyone who supported us – and a big congratulations to all the Heiva 2025 participants!
We can’t wait to see you on the water… or on stage again soon! 🎢🌴✨
